Initial Release
Basic Usage Instructions:Simple, just download, extract, install. It will start up automatically. Right click the little shield icon and click 'Never Away' and you won't show up as Away in MOC anymore.
Some Notes:This application simply simulates key presses to make sure your computer net goes 'away' in Microsoft Office Communicator. It will also prevent screen savers or sleep mode activating or anything else related to inactivity.
By default it is set to press the F24 key every 4 minutes. F24 doesn't do anything unless you have something installed that assigns an action to it. If you do, you can what I did initially and just change the configuration to press the button twice instead of once and use the mute button instead of F24.
If you would like to configure the time differently, you can simply modify the config file. i didn't add a wizard or any UI to get to the config but the steps are pretty simple.
- Make sure NeverAway is running
- Start Task Manager
- Locate NeverAway executable in the process list
- Right click and 'Open File Location'
- Open the config file in notepad
- change the configuration Items as you see fit
Note: you can break the program by putting garbage into the config. if that's your thing, go for it. =)Built in VS2012, using some of the deployment wizards in there for the packaging. It's targetting .net 4.5. You can download the source and compile for another version if you wish, or contact me.
